"The SideCar Software group is proud to release the product of almost 7 months of work. CowChip v0.1 is the first Chip-8 interpreter available for Windows.

"The CowChip archive includes twenty-two games for your entertainment. All will run under CowChip, but some may not yet be playable." CowChip currently supports:

  • All original Chip-8 instuctions
  • Remappable keyboard input
  • A debug window

Not yet implemented:

  • Collisions (Partial)
  • Speed regulation
  • Windows API graphics
  • Selectable foreground/background colors (partial)
  • Library and font editors (partial)
  • Super-Chip instructions
  • Documentation (partial)
